History
Matthew was born to one Stella Jones and John Williams on July 1st. Born the younger twin out of him and his older brother, Alfred, Matthew had always been overlooked. He was quiet, occasionally conservative and didn’t have the similar bright and shining personality that his brother had. Despite the fact that Matthew was largely ignored, he was more than happy to spend what time he could with Alfred, the two were practically inseparable. Matthew particularly loved to bang on various pots and pans when his brother would sing. Once his banging turned in to actual rhythms he was whisked away by his mother in to a variety of instrumental classes. Matthew now figures it was because if he couldn’t act and sing like his brother, the least he could do was play music. Looking back on that particular part of his life, Matthew often thinks that he was particularly hated by his mother for his lack of talent.
Matthew’s teen years were spent either practicing his various instruments or doing homework, leaving very little time for social interactions in and outside of school. He was kept on a very strict schedule and was headed on the fast track to Juilliard to major in strings and piano. However, Matthew wanted to go to Brandon University in Canada to be closer to his father. His mother refused. Out of spite for his mother, and to carve his own path, Matthew secretly left New York, subsequently dropping out of Juilliard after his mother registered him, and moved in to the dorms at Brandon. Around a year in to completing his masters in music, Matthew left school. He took the next plane to Toronto, deciding that he wanted to be freer with this music; that he wanted to play more than the stuffy music he had been forced to play for years. Living in and out of homeless shelters for a couple months before finally finding a position as a member of a theatres pit band.

Other:
[/li][li]Matthew is naturally shy around people when me meets them for the first time, or if he just generally feels uncomfortable. [/li][li]He knows how to play the piano, guitar, clarinet, harmonica, fiddle, violin, saxophone and cello.
[/li][li]Matthew likes to sing, though because his voice is very quiet he isn’t heard very well. Instead, he leaves the singing to Alfred and has become accustomed, if not always happy, to accompany him when he sings. He has a dream, however, to sing in at least one musical before his career ends. He hasn’t told anyone about it.
[/li][li]He loves to play scores from his favourite movies and themes from his favourite shows. (Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who¬)
[/li][li]He likes to compose in his spare time, though he doesn’t think any of it is very good.
[/li][li]One of Matthew’s hobbies is to remix songs so he can play them on his instruments.
[/li][li]Matthew can speak fluent French.
